I have dedicated my third year to investigating rape and its representation within the
sphere of Fine Art. After experiencing rape in September 2024, I found the profound
isolation to be one of the most difficult parts of my recovery. Being unable to share what
was happening with my wider circle of friends and community intensified the burden I
carried while trying to continue through my second year of university. Coming to Age is a
manifestation of that recovery. Shaped by hours of examinations, appointments, and
interviews, Coming to Age transforms the worst experience of my life into something I
can be proud of.
