DIRECTOR’S STATEMENT
'Answerphone' (2025) extends and repositions surrealism in relation to psychoanalytic theory and media memory, whereby the past returns through obsolete consumer technologies. The narrative operates on dream logic to portray how traumatic memory is processed.
SYNOPSIS
A woman is haunted by a series of telephone calls. As she continues to dismiss them, her reality increasingly distorts.
