My painting practice explores spatial design, the construction of space, and the pull of the interior. These constructed spaces derive from fragments of works by a range of artists who paint and explore the interior, which I collage together to create different narratives.

These references are sourced from Dutch Still Life painting and the works of Vermeer.  My work is transformative and aims to reimagine these references through composition, shape, and form.
In addition, the work of contemporary artist, Dexter Dalwood, has informed the construction of these spaces. His work explores how interiors can function as conceptual planes rather than simply literal spaces.

The idea of ‘space’ is central to my studio practice and the research for my dissertation. Here, I explore space and its interconnection with, and influence on, society, politics, and modern culture.
